Ad Formats
We want to make advertising with Myxer as rewarding as possible for our
advertisers, so we use standard ad formats for our web and mobile web opportunities.
We're happy to be compliant with guidelines recommended by both the
Interactive Advertising Bureau (for our web
ads) and the Mobile Marketing Association
(for mobile web ads).
Web Creatives
All of our web placements use one or
more of the following standard ad formats. We accept GIF, JPEG, and
SWF (Flash) format creatives with a maximum animation time of 15 seconds. Each
format should have a maximum of 5 words of alternate text.

Additional Requirements for Flash Creatives
If you choose to use Flash creatives, note that they should be accompanied by
a backup creative, of the same pixel size, in GIF or JPG format. Also note that
if you want click-tracking enabled, you should follow the guidelines for "clickTAG"

Mobile Creatives
The specifications for creatives used on mobile phones are a little bit
different than those used for the web. The key thing to notice is that the
max size is, well, really small. This is because most mobile web users
have very limited bandwidth to work with, and adding large graphics files
will quickly degrade their user experience.
Banner Specifications
Mobile banners may be in .gif, .png, or .jpg format. Only static
images may be used. For best user experience, you should supply banners in
each one of these sizes (we will select the best image to use for
each phone based on its display size):

All ad unit sizes must be provided for text and banner placements since mobile display sizes vary.
Tips for Creating Banners for the Mobile Web
Getting the file size that small can be pretty tough. The best results come from banners
that have just a few flat colors, like the examples. You also have to reduce the size further
by reducing the number of colors (8-256) in either the gif or png-8 files when saving them.
Jpg files tend to distort when compressed to the appropriate size (though it remains an
option in some cases).

Banner Text Tagline Specifications
For best results, banner ads should have an associated text tagline.
These taglines are displayed just under your banner ad, and provide
a simple hyperlink to users. (On most phones, it's much easier to
click a text hyperlink than an image).
Banner Text Taglines should be:
SMS Text Sponsorship
Inline Sponsorship
Inline sponsorships messages are of the form "Sponsored By: [your message]". Your custom
message may be up to 20 characters.
Stand-Alone Sponsorship
Because different carriers have different restrictions for the length
of the content in an SMS message, we suggest you supply two creatives
for a stand-alone sponsorship campaign. This will allow us to insure
that the user gets the intended message instead of truncating in an
unfortunate place.
- Download Request - 20 character max - Brand name
- Download Complete - 75 character max and 100 character max
Creative Due Dates
- 3 days prior to campaign start for all non-rich media
- 5 days prior to campaign start for all rich media
- 3 days prior to campaign start for WAP media
