Bio: Daphne Willis is the personable and impassioned front woman of the riff driven acoustic rock band, Daphne Willis & Co. Unique and fresh, and still evolving, the band's magnetic sound is driven by Daphne's rich, soothing vocals (think Norah Jones meets Jack Johnson but with a rocking band), coupled with a songwriting prowess that features thought provoking lyrics that stray from the typical twenty year old singer/songwriter clichés. Willis is backed by a supporting lineup of all-star musicians from Berklee and Columbia schools of music. The band's sound is not forced or predictable, but honest, fun and engaging. It is hard to tell who enjoys their live shows more – the audience or the band. From Sept '07 through Dec of '07, they played over 70 shows throughout the Midwest, including notable venues such as Schuba’s in Chicago, The Annex in Madison, First Avenue in Minneapolis, and the River Roots Live Festival in Davenport. In 2008 the band will tour North America, and is aiming to play over 200 shows. Great mu
