True to his name, Young Gem learned at an early age to appreciate his love for music. In between amateur recordings Gem began to horn his craft as a producer developing an impressive catalog appropriately titled 'Platinum Beatz Production'.
As a producer, his ultimate goal is to be categorized in the same status of those he is influenced by the most such as Timberland, Dr. Dre, Jazzy Phe and Manny Fresh. On the artist stand point, he feels that Kanye West showed the world it was possible to be successful without limiting yourself to one particular area in the music industry. Gem set out to discover that all of his talents combined would make for a total package.
